Manoir de Beaujeu

Time for reflection in a busy world

Welcome!

Calm and quiet

Imagine a place where all is calm and quiet.
A place where you can slow down, engage with important ideas and reflect on your life’s direction.
How is life going?
Where is it going?
Where is God in all this?

Every age and every stage of life asks something new of our religious beliefs and practices. On a retreat, we have the opportunity to renew our relationship with God and build the strength needed to make our Faith the foundation of daily activity.

In the tranquil atmosphere of Manoir de Beaujeu, a conference centre nestled on the banks of the St. Lawrence River some 50 kilometres west of Montreal, you will find a wonderful place for prayer and contemplation. Weekend retreats conducted by the Opus Dei Prelature offer daily Mass, personal prayer, reflection and talks on central themes of living a Christian life today. Opus Dei is an institution of the Catholic Church that aims to foster the quest for spiritual growth in the midst of daily life.

Days on retreat. Recollection in order to know God, to know yourself and thus to make progress. A necessary time for discovering where and how you should change your life. What should I do? What should I avoid?

—St. Josemaria Escriva, Furrow 177
